Waking up with the sea moving by outside our window, knowing we had nothing to do but could enjoy everything we wanted, was a great way to start the day.  Those who haven’t cruised cannot fathom the relaxation that is a sea day, and that makes me sad.  We got an early start to embrace the day, but did it turn out to be needed for what was ahead?

Cozumel Mexico is a port with a lot to offer - more than most cruisers realize.  That was our stop today on our Celebrity Apex cruise, and we took the group on a rather unconventional tour before enjoying a wonderful meal, show, and conversation back on the ship...

After catching up on sleep last night, we woke up late but refreshed, to a shoreline we’d not yet seen - Belize.  The day started uncertain, we learned some things about cruising to Belize, and ended up with just what we needed...

An early morning trip to our favorite beach resort, naps, a great show in Apex's ultra high-tech theater, and a unique dining experience that I've never been able to try it myself - until now.  To say that we packed a lot in today would be quite an understatement.

The first full day of the CruiseHabit group cruise on Apex was an opportunity to do it all on this new ship…or do nothing at all.  While we settled on somewhere in between, we certainly took it easy today, and there are few places as nice as this for taking it easy.

Celebrity Apex is the newest Edge series ship from Celebrity Cruises.  Because Edge is our favorite ship, it was an easy decision to make Apex the ship for the first CruiseHabit group cruise.  Today we boarded, were reunited with friends, and started a seven night Western Caribbean cruise.

Since the restart of cruising in North America, Celebrity Cruises has sailed with at a minimum, 95% of guests fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  This was made all the more strict months ago when the US Virgin Islands and then The Bahamas required that for ships to dock, all persons able to be vaccinated must be vaccinated, or the vessels would be denied berthing.  Now, itinerary adjustments being sent to travel advisors suggest they're shoring up this policy.

The final day of any cruise is a bit depressing for many.  With most Caribbean Virgin Voyages cruises spending that last day at The Beach Club at Bimini however, there is a lot of fun and relaxation to distract you from the reality that work be just a day away.  For us, we relaxed, even tried out a new activity, and then enjoyed a very peaceful final evening on board Scarlet Lady.
