Princess is a large and well known cruise line, but one we've only sailed with them once before (Sky Princess Daily Blog here). There were a lot of things we liked about our Sky Princess sailing, and while we didn't know how to describe Princess before that cruise, we walked away feeling that "relaxing" was the best single word to describe the experience. When Sun Princess, the first in a new class of ships, was announced, we were keen to see some of what sets her apart from the rest of the fleet. Since that announcement, however, there have been major changes to the ship, despite only being launched in February of 2024 - this includes the removal of the Park 19 area that aimed to attract families and younger cruisers. Still the ship features some of Princess' staples, such as The Piazza, a well-executed atrium concept, and brand new concepts, such as The Dome, a panoramic pool and entertainment area promising a very different atmosphere.
To explore this 175.5k gross ton, 4,310 passenger ship, we're setting sail over the US thanksgiving holiday. Our seven night cruise will be visiting Belize, Roatan, and Cozumel in the Western Caribbean, and while we'll likely do some exploring, this trip is all about the ship...and hopefully relaxing. Of course, while relaxing, we'll be sharing the experience with you, so please make sure to subscribe to us on YouTube and on social media.
