Live Updates from Celebrity Infinity This Weekend

This weekend (Feb 8 2020) we're doing something a little unusual and setting sail for just two nights.  We'll be departing from PortMiami on Celebrity Infinity and heading to Nassau and back.  It's a short cruise for sure, but we're looking forward to a weekend getaway, and exploring a Millennium Class Celebrity ship.  In the past we have sailed Celebrity Constellation (also Millennium Class), but it's been a while, and with several Celebrity Edge sailings in the past year or so, and a seven night on Celebrity Equinox, it's funny how quickly our memory has become fuzzy.

Because the sailing is so short, we'll not be live-blogging, but there will be plenty of updates on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and of course summaries right here on CruiseHabit.com once we get back.

Below you can see some quick facts about Celebrity Infinity, several photos, and some random thoughts and opinions about those spots on the ship.

  • Built at Chantiers de l'Atlantique Shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France
  • Maiden Voyage: March 3, 2001
  • 90,940 Gross Tons
  • 964.6' x 105.6'
  • 26.3' Draught
  • Cruising Speed: 24 Knots
  • Carrying 2,170 Passengers, 999 Crew
  • Scheduled for Celebrity Revolution (revitalization) Nov 15, 2020

The Martini Bar

The Martini Bar on Celebrity Infinity is an ice-topped bar, and a great hangout spot on any Celebrity ship.  The bartenders here show of some fun bar flare, and there is another surface and seating area just out of view of this shot.  This space is a bit improvement over Celebrity Century (no longer sailing), which we loved, but where the Martini Bar was a bit of a cave.

The Solarium

We love solariums - maybe because we like natural light, but aren't really "sunning ourselves" people. This solarium has some neat water jets/spouts that we enjoy, as well as the Spa Cafe.

The Staterooms

Because Infinity hasn't undergone Celebrity Revolution yet, her staterooms have a different color pallette than we've seen on Celebrity for our last several cruises.  It will be fun to compare and contrast them.

 Rendezvous Lounge

Classic aft lounges really make us feel like we're on a ship, and this class of ship has a great looking one.  We have fond memories of relaxing in here, both during shows and at other times - with attentive beverage service!
