Celebrity Apex Sky Suite (S3) Cabin Tour

We explore an unusual stateroom, Celebrity Apex room 11160. This S3 Sky Suite is on the end of the Magic Carpet track and has some unique qualities - some of which we came to love. Access to The Retreat areas and amenities are another great plus - which you can learn about in our Retreat video linked below. This should be nearly identical to Celebrity Edge room 11160...

On June 26 Celebrity Edge became the first cruise ship to sail from the US in over 15 months.  We’ve been on board four days now, and as a cruise blogger, I keep getting asked about restrictions.  This makes sense, as myself and every other traveler with a keyboard has been trying to predict the future for a year – and we were all wrong...

Celebrity Edge Western Caribbean - Day 7 - Sea Day

Magic Carpet on Edge - Amazing Views

Since I was a kid I've found the final day of any cruise to be depressing, and while I've become better at this, I suspect it's like dividing a prime number: I'll never reach zero.  The good news is that the final day of our Celebrity Edge sailing was gorgeous, and I don't think we could have spent it any better than we did.  While relaxing, we also managed to check off a few items we'd neglected thus far into the sailing.  One of them you'll see, seems to have been word play...

Celebrity Edge Western Caribbean - Day 6 - Grand Cayman

Amazing Colors at Seven Mile Beach

Grand Cayman doesn’t have a cruise terminal, requiring ships tender (take small water shuttles) from the ship.  Some see this as inconvenient, but it’s also makes for a scenic way to arrive.  I went to bed last night hoping the weather would hold so that tender operations were able to take place, and in the final hour of our arrival, the sea smoothed out nicely.
