Today kicked off the first day of our third cruise on Celebrity Edge.  We don’t often repeat ships so quickly, and while ship preference depends on circumstance and is highly subjective, you can absolutely take this as a sign of how much we enjoyed our past Edge experiences.  From the moment we booked this sailing though, we looked very forward to seeing what was different – an interesting game anytime you see a new class of ship from her very first sailings through to a more refined experience...

Virgin Voyages, Richard Branson's new cruise line, continues to release enticing details of their adults-only experience.  We've learned a lot of their first ship, Scarlet Lady, which will set sail in the coming months, but finally we're learning the name of the second ship in the fleet, as well as a bit about her adventures...

Most major cruise lines now have apps or mobile websites that you can access on your smartphone to view the day's schedule, book shore excursions, chat with other guests, and more.  Generally, these apps are free to use, but it can sometimes be a bit confusing since we often see costs associated with "WiFi".  Really, this confusion is just a matter of wording, and we'll clear it up so you can use your device worry-free...

In the corporate world change is inevitable, especially in cruise industry, which has seen incredible growth over the past several decades.  Despite that, for 31 years, Andy Stuart has showed up to work at Norwegian Cruise Lines, for the past three and a half years, as CEO of the third largest cruise line in the world. It was announced this week however, that over the coming months, Stuart would be leaving NCL, and Harry Sommer, another NCL veteran, will be taking his place in the C-suite...

This past week we enjoyed a fantastic vacation on Celebrity Equinox.  While we relaxed however, thousands of residents of Grand Bahama and Abaco Island in the Bahamas were left homeless by Hurricane Dorian, one of the strongest storms on record.  Toward the end of our sailing...

On the last day of a cruise I often feel stuck - unable to commit to any plans because some part of my brain dedicates too much thought to wondering how I could just stay on the ship for one more cruise.  On this cruise though, while I certainly didn't want it to end, the day also carried a very different tone as we sat off the coast of hurricane ravaged Freeport.  Still we were able to enjoy our day, lay out in the sun shade, and take the in the final hours of our vacation...

I love sea days, and the agenda today had a few interesting things in the earlier hours, and while the day ended up being as relaxing as one could hope, there was an unexpected change in our voyage plans that serves as a reminder of just how lucky we are...
